Enter his gates with thanksgiving; go into his courts with praise. Give thanks to him and praise his name.
Psalm 100:4
Gratitude is not just a feeling but a constant and consistent theme in life where we thank God for his blessings, mercy and love. Expressing gratitude leads to joy and peace. It brings us into closer alignment with God as we acknowledge his goodness in every aspect of our lives. Actively showing gratitude produces a powerful thought transforming process which alters the way we mentally and spiritually approach each day. Make time, not only this Thanksgiving, but every day of your life to express sincere humble gratitude to God–His faithful love endures forever! (Psalm 136)
DEAR GOD,
We give thanks to you for being the one true God– the creator of the universe. We give thanks to you for wonderfully and intricately creating each of us in your image and blessing us with our time, talents and treasures. We give thanks to you for the presence of those who express your love to us each day—our families and friends. We give thanks to you for blessing our homes, communities and our nation with freedom and for those who have sacrificed to keep us safe and secure. We give thanks to you for giving us the honor and privilege of serving as members of local, state and federal law enforcement agencies and keeping us steadfast in integrity and dedication. We give thanks to you for faithfully watching over us, and our families, every hour of every day that we served and for actively being with those who are currently serving. Father God, although you are divinely sovereign over everything, we thank you for being incomparably understanding and loving. Please accept our simple expression of “thank you” for every blessing you have bestowed upon us.
AMEN
